TITLE: Senior Radiation Therapist
REPORTING TO:
Radiotherapy Services Manager or designated Deputy and with day-to-day supervision by a Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist.
ROLE SUMMARY:
• Treatment of patients and treatment planning of patients
• Acting as an information resource for junior colleagues locally
• Delivering high standards of clinical practice and skills in Radiotherapy
• Participating in a structured process for education of colleagues, post graduates and other health professionals
• Interest in research and audit activities
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Each candidate must:
• Possess an IIRRT validated qualification in Radiation Therapy
• Have had at least three years satisfactory post qualification experience and have proven clinical expertise
• Have experience of or be prepared to participate in research
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• The role will include the functioning of the Radiotherapy service
• The post holder may be assigned additional responsibilities at the discretion of the Radiotherapy Services Manager or Clinical Specialist

Essential requirements -
• Basic degree in nutrition, health science, business, marketing or sales
• Experience of 3-5 years at minimum in the nutritional Sales industry in Ireland
• Good communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Manage a busy schedule that involves travelling
• Adapting to changing environment showing flexibility and a learning attitude
• Basic knowledge of PC tools
• Understand how to read market research data and tools to assess performance

This post covers both hospital and primary care we are looking for people who can effectively manage their area .
They will need to build a clear understanding of their territory ,target audience and prioritise in line with targeting program.
They will need to analyse sales data ,market share data in order to build territory /hospital business plans.
